What a difference! In photos, Hyundai's latest-generation electric car with its retro design looks downright cute – as someone has turned a long-lost design drawing for a compact car from the 1970s into reality. But if you stand in front of the five-door crossover in person, you are surprised at how big it is. For this reason and because of the fair price, the 4.64-metre-long Ioniq 5 is exactly the right choice as a first car for families.
The five-seater has nothing to do with the hatchback that initiated Hyundai's rise to become an electric pioneer. Modern 800-volt technology, as otherwise found in Porsche and Audi, as well as two battery sizes enable electric ranges of between 360 and 481 kilometers. So you can also go on a family holiday in a relaxed and comfortable way. In addition, there is all-wheel drive on request. The high voltage also helps with the charging process. On a fast charger, the Ioniq battery is charged to 80 percent again in 18 minutes - lunch takes longer.
The trunk has more than enough cargo volume and the loading calbules are not in the way. Because they fit perfectly into the front cargo area. And when the Ioniq 5 is then connected to the charging station, it's the right time for a power nap – on the front reclining seats.

Hyundai IONIQ 6

Die Form folgt der Funktion – bei keinem anderen Elektroauto hat dieses Designprinzip eine so grosse Bedeutung wie beim Hyundai Ioniq 6. Denn die flache Elektrolimousine mit der buckligen Passagierkabine und dem flach auslaufenden Heck ist bis ins letzte Detail auf maximale Reichweite ausgelegt. Und wirkt dabei so extravagant, dass sich auch noch in einigen Jahren die Passantinnen und Passanten nach ihm umdrehen werden.
Technisch setzt er wie der SUV Ioniq 5 auf Heck- oder Allradantrieb und bis zu 326 PS Leistung bei zwei Batteriegrössen. Aber die aerodynamisch optimierte Form sorgt im Alltag für deutlich grössere Reichweiten. Wenn du gerne lange Strecken mit wenigen und kurzen Ladepausen zurücklegt, ist der Ioniq 6 das ideale Auto für dich.
Zumal er auch im Innenraum Langstreckentalent beweist – vor allem auf der Rückbank, auf der du deine Beine ganz weit ausstrecken kannst. Hyundai Kona Electric

The first generation surprised with low consumption and a long everyday range. With the new edition of the Kona Electric, Hyundai is now providing more comfort, more generous space and more attention. Because Hyundai's compact electric car is likely to score points above all with its surprising design.
Compared to its predecessor, the new one looks almost grown-up – and at least one class larger. Even the basic version also offers 20 more hp and thanks to a quarter more battery capacity, the Kona can go even further on one charge.
Unfortunately, it does not inherit the 800-volt technology of the Ioniq models for particularly high charging capacities and short charging times. But the cockpit of the award-winning sister models with two large screens for instruments and infotainment can now be found in Hyundai's entry-level electric car, as can the numerous assistance systems. And if you're not quite sure about your electric affinity, you could also order the Kona as a gasoline or electrified hybrid.
